THE CHALLENGE

Back in 2022, brown compost bins in Athens were 2 things: irrelevant to Athenians and pretty disgusting.

Citizens not only didn’t know how to use them. They ignored them or tried to avoid them due to the smell. EDSNA and the Region of Attica needed to capture their attention and encourage this new type of green habit.

THE APPLEFALL MOMENT

The contents of a compost bin are a shock on an olfactory and a visual level. The most unique food combinations can be found there. But you know what? As long as they stay there, they actually go great together.

THE SOLUTION

“Great together” took all our food styling know-how (and very strong gag reflexes). It’s a series of print ads that highlight the nature of the compost bins: a little yuck, a little colorful and unpredictable, and 100% green.
