HELP IT OUT
THE CHALLENGE
EDSNA and the Region of Attica wanted a change: they wanted to change how the people of Attica recycle, from their habits all the way to the recycling establishments.
We knew we had to start with people’s mindsets, get them to start sorting their recyclables and embrace the new bins installed by EDSNA. But with recycling being such a familiar topic, how could we make it feel fresh again?
THE APPLEFALL MOMENT
Some waste becomes trash. Some get recycled. But what about the unseen “victims” that end up neither in the bins, nor on the streets?
When people don’t feel like searching for a bin, they might squeeze recyclables into the most bizarre places—wedged between railings, crammed into cracks, or abandoned in corners. Trapped there, these recyclables remain in limbo, unable to move on to their next life as something new.
THE SOLUTION
“Help them out”. And while you’re at it, start recycling better with EDSNA.
We introduced our trapped pieces of trash, showing how this small habit steals their future and their usefulness. We used images that are both familiar and eye-catching, and squeezed in (pun intended) our message: let’s all learn how to recycle better.
Fun fact: the piece that inspired us spent a whopping 2 months stuck in a door handle.
