THE CHALLENGE

People in Athens hardly recycle paper, glass and plastic. The bins have been here for decades, and some still misuse them.

Amidst numerous educational campaigns, EDSNA and the Region of Attica planned to introduce a new kind of bin: the brown one, specifically for compostable waste. We had to give it the strong, eye-catching start it deserved.

THE APPLEFALL MOMENT

In the compost bin, magic happens: yesterday’s leftovers become tomorrow’s resources. They are not only granted a new type of worth. They become the basis for a greener agriculture.

THE SOLUTION

“Roots” is a series of illustrated print ads that showcase this transformation. Based on visual similarities, steak scraps, spaghetti and fish bones nurture tomorrow’s crops.
